The Division of Agricultural Botany one of the important sections of this college. This section has been started at the time of establishment of PAHGCA, Halgaon in 2018. Agricultural Botany section is actively engaged in undergraduate teaching in addition to conducting seed production program and college development activity. The section is provided with one well equipped laboratories. Seed production programme is also executed as per the university directives by this section. The staff of this section also uses to render services to farming communities. The staff from this section also visiting problematic fields, writing popular articles in newspaper, magazine and attending farmer’s rallies.
Agricultural Botany section is provided with one Professor, one Associate Professor and two Assistant Professor. At present only one Assistant Professors is working in this department. Among the vacant three post one post of Assistant Professor is filled on contractual basis (11 month). The section use to offer twelve core courses and part of two experiential learning courses as per V Dean syllabus and twelve core courses and one skill enhancement courses as per VI Dean syllabus in two semesters every year. In addition to teaching, each staff member is allotted ten to fifteen students for counselling. The teaching staffs uses to guide and solve academic as well as personal problems of these students.
